With these two teams, it seems almost certain that the game will come down to the final minute ... and weirdly enough, the Chargers have been pretty good this year in those situations!
I'm leaning the Chargers for other reasons too. They have the better offense. Brandon Staley likes to go for it on fourth down A LOT and the Vikings have one of the worst fourth-down defenses (allowing conversions on 66.7 percent, sixth-worst in the NFL). I guess Dalvin Cook is playing, and while that is worrisome against the Chargers' league-worst rushing defense, the Vikings' run offense is sneaky inefficient. It's No. 30 in yards/attempt and last in rush DVOA.
This is still the Vikings and Chargers, though, so I'm not super confident, esp since Minnesota needs a win a lot more than LA does. But when it comes down to it, the Chargers are the more complete team, so I'd give them the nod.
Gonna be a tossup. I like the Chargers too just something about Cook being back and the. literal. need. to. win. Thanks!
No prob! And agreed -- tough one to pick.
Taking you up on your offer. What’s your take on the LAC/MIN game? Who you got and why? Thanks!
